Weekend reading: NTEN's 2009 Data Ecosystem Survey.

CiviCRM

Speaking of CiviCRM... very interesting to peruse the results of NTEN's annual "Data Ecosystem Survey." In most scenarios, CiviCRM and Convio are neck to neck in terms of servicing most organization's needs for donor, volunteer, and event management.

Convio still reins supreme for large-sized organizations, but CiviCRM seems to be taking a clear lead in the small- to mid-sized organization category. Quite an impressive feat after just a few short years on the scene.

Interesting also is the consistently high grades that are given to Antharia's software suite. Another impressive showing by a small, dedicated, team.

A worthwhile weekend read, if you're working in the space, or thinking about donor, volunteer, event, e-commerce, or e-mail management solutions in 2010.
